Outside the most avid Trekkies, the average gamer in Star Trek Online knows nothing about starships or their sci-fi origins. The Star Trek Intelligence website gives a comprehensive rundown of all the starships in the Star Trek Universe, from civilian Federation ships to the heavily armed Borg tactical cubes.

Granted not all of the ships seen in Star Trek Intelligence are found in game, it still adds a lot to the MMO experience reading up on the starship capabilities unique to each faction. Future updates will also release more vessels and having read them beforehand can give each STO gamer a better grasp of how to use them in space combat. At the very least, you’ll get the most comprehensive read on STO spaceships than anywhere else.
